Oxford United vs Forest Green Rovers - Captain Jake Wright returns for Oxford

Oxford manager Michael Appleton must decide how to juggle his resources when his team host Forest Green in the second round of the FA Cup in what is their first of three fixtures in seven days.

Appleton has vowed to take the competition seriously, and has been boosted by the return to fitness of captain Jake Wright, following a back injury.

Jordan Evans, who recently arrived on loan for Fulham, could be in contention to start after remaining on the bench during last week's 1-0 win at Hartlepool.

Ryan Taylor, however, misses out, owing to a groin injury, as does loanee Chris Maguire, who is cup-tied.

Forest Green defender Dale Bennett is free to play at the Kassam Stadium as his red card in the 2-0 win over Altrincham was rescinded in midweek.

Bennett was sent off for an alleged first-half kick but, after reviewing video evidence provided by the club, the Football Association ruled that it was a case of wrongful dismissal.

Forest Green boss Ady Pennock has virtually a full squad to choose from as the Vanarama National League high-fliers attempt to make it into third round for the first time since 2009.

Defender Darren Jones (hamstring) misses out but James Jennings is back in contention after serving a ban and Stevenage have given loan striker Brett Williams permission to play.
