Burnley vs Preston North End - Burnley striker Sam Vokes vying for a return against Preston

Sam Vokes could come back into the fold for Burnley's derby with Preston at Turf Moor.

The Wales international has missed the last two games with a groin injury he suffered against Wolves prior to the international break but Clarets boss Sean Dyche believes he has a "very good chance" of returning to the squad.

Dean Marney (knee) is likely to start on the bench again as he builds up his fitness following a long-term problem while Rouwen Hennings could partner Andre Gray in attack if Vokes is ruled out after scoring his first Burnley goal against Cardiff.

Ashley Barnes and Lukas Jutkiewicz are both long-term absentees with cruciate knee ligament injuries.

Preston will be without forward Stevie May.

The 23-year-old Scot damaged the cruciate ligament in his knee at Fulham last weekend and will remain sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

Australia international Bailey Wright is suspended once more as he completes a two-game ban following his second red card of the season against Blackburn last month.

Calum Woods (hamstring) could come back in but Chris Humphrey (shin) and Jermaine Beckford (knee) are both absent for the long term.
