Birmingham vs Huddersfield - Vaughan out but Halford available for Birmingham debut

Birmingham's James Vaughan will not face his parent club under the terms of his loan from Huddersfield.

The striker joined last month until January but will sit out having made his debut in last week's 2-1 defeat to Brighton.

Fellow loanee Greg Halford is available to make his bow for Gary Rowett's side after he joined on loan from Rotherham and trained this week to boost his fitness.

Striker Clayton Donaldson (groin) and winger David Cotterill (knee) remain sidelined for the hosts.

Huddersfield pair Harry Bunn and Mustapha Carayol hope to be back in head coach David Wagner's squad.

Bunn sat out last week's home defeat to Middlesbrough due to a one-game ban and on-loan Carayol was unable to face his parent club.

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy and midfielder Phillip Billing remain sidelined with respective ankle injuries, while defender Joel Lynch (groin) and striker Ishmael Miller (hamstring) are also struggling.

Wagner is seeking his first win in three matches since replacing Chris Powell last month.
