Leyton Orient vs Scunthorpe United - Cole Kpekawa worry for Orient

Posted Friday, December 04, 2015 by PA

Leyton Orient will be without on-loan defender Cole Kpekawa for Saturday's FA Cup second round tie at home to Scunthorpe.

Parent club QPR agreed a clause preventing Kpekawa from playing in cup matches for Orient, meaning captain Mathieu Baudry is likely to start in central defence.

John Marquis will also miss the clash as he is suspended after being sent off in the 1-1 draw with Wimbledon last weekend.

Dean Cox and Paul McCallum (both knee) are long-term absentees, as is Connor Essam, who is still recovering from an ankle injury.

Scunthorpe will be without suspended midfielder Neal Bishop for the second-round tie.

Bishop received his fifth booking of the season in last week's heavy home defeat to Peterborough and sits out a one-match ban.

Charlie Goode is expected to continue in central defence in the absence of David Mirfin (hamstring) and long-term absentees Stephen Dawson and Jamie Ness both remain sidelined.

Defender Scott Wiseman and forward Gary McSheffrey are among those pushing for recalls after dropping to the bench last week.
