Bristol Rovers 3 - 0 Wycombe Wanderers: Rovers return to winning ways at the Memorial Stadium

Matt Taylor reached 13 goals for the season with a second-half hat-trick as Bristol Rovers registered a 3-0 Sky Bet League Two win over Wycombe.

The striker broke the deadlock on the hour with a sweetly-struck shot from 20 yards, following a free-kick routine straight from the training ground.

Two minutes later Stuart Sinclair's quick thinking at another free-kick saw him catch Wycombe's defence napping and set up Taylor for a right-footed strike from inside the box.

The treble came on 72 minutes when Taylor wriggled between two dithering defenders to net from close range, giving the hosts a comfortable victory that had looked unlikely for 45 minutes.

Skipper Lee Mansell almost gave Rovers the perfect start to the game when his powerful 20-yard drive was acrobatically tipped over by Matt Ingram.

But it was the visitors who came closest in a first half of few chances. Sam Wood was unlucky to see his left-footed shot from 12 yards come back off a post on 14 minutes.
