Misfiring Nantes failed to score for a second successive game as they were held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Bastia.

It could have been much worse for Les Canaris had the crossbar not come to their rescue as early as the third minute, when Yannick Cahuzac's clever 25-yard lob bounced off the woodwork.

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Lucas Deaux and Emir Lenjani all wasted good first-half chances for Nantes, failing to find the target from promising positions as the hosts looked to take advantage.

Chances were at a premium in the second-half and any chance of a late winner disappeared for the hosts when Alejandro Bedoya was shown a second yellow card following a tackle from behind on Seko Fofana.
