Ajaccio GFCO 1 - 1 Lorient: Ajaccio winning run ends in draw with Lorient

GFC Ajaccio's run of four straight Ligue 1 wins came to an end after they were held to a 1-1 draw with Lorient in Corsica.

The hosts recent turnaround in form has seen them climb out of the bottom three and that looked like continuing when Mohamed Larbi lashed home at the back post from Damjan Djokovic's corner.

That lead lasted a little over 10 minutes though when Issiaga Sylla handled on the area before Benjamin Moukandjo smashed the resulting penalty straight down the middle of the goal.

Sylla thought he had made up for that error when he met Khalid Boutaib's pass to lash home from close range but the linesman's flag rightfully went up to deny any celebrations.
