Wycombe Wanderers 2 - 2 Portsmouth: Portsmouth prove a point in fightback against Wycombe

Goals from Caolan Lavery and Adam Webster either side of half-time gave Portsmouth a well-earned point after coming from behind to draw 2-2 away at Wycombe.

A 40-yard effort from Michael Harriman and then Garry Thompson's 100th career league goal had given the home side a deserved lead on the half-hour mark before Pompey began to dominate.

Wycombe were well on top throughout the first half and led on 28 minutes when Harriman lifted the ball into an empty net from 40 yards following Brian Murphy's poor clearance from outside his area.

The winger then turned provider two minutes later, crossing for Thompson who slid in to score his fifth of the season.

But Lavery brought Pompey back into the game on the stroke of half-time, tapping in Marc McNulty's pass after the forward had broken through on goal.

And it was all square after the break as Webster climbed highest to head in Ben Davies' 56th-minute corner.

Matt Ingram parried away Davies' free-kick late on as the visitors looked to complete the comeback but Wycombe held firm for a point.
