Hartlepool United FC vs Oxford United - Duo in contention for Hartlepool

Michael Duckworth and Michael Woods should both be back in contention for Hartlepool's home game against Oxford.

Full-back Duckworth missed last Saturday's defeat at Mansfield with a calf injury but he had been expected to return at Accrington on Tuesday night, only for the game to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Woods has recovered from the dead leg that ruled him out of the Stags clash, while the midweek postponement has allowed Scott Harrison time to rest a sore knee and he should be fit.

Striker Billy Paynter (Achilles) and defender Harry Worley (ankle) are long-term absentees.

Jordan Evans and Chris Maguire will go straight into the Oxford squad after arriving at the club on loan.

Evans, who can play either left-back or on the left wing, joined from Fulham, while attacker Maguire moves from Rotherham, where he has struggled for game time.

The Us will be without striker Ryan Taylor, who was forced off during the midweek draw with Newport by a groin problem and will see a specialist in an attempt to get to the root of the problem.

Captain Jake Wright is ruled out by a back injury but Danny Hylton should be available after recovering from stomach cramps.
