Scunthorpe United vs Peterborough United - David Mirfin to miss Scunthorpe's clash with Peterborough

Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins hopes to keep changes to a minimum for Saturday's League One clash with Peterborough at Glanford Park.

The Iron bounced back from two consecutive defeats to win 2-1 at Bury in midweek and get their promotion aspirations back on track.

But victory came at a price for Robins with defender David Mirfin limping off after 35 minutes and he is rated unlikely to pass a late fitness test.

Mirfin's absence would probably mean a start for Chris Goode who impressed after coming on to replace his team-mate on Tuesday.

Peterborough manager Graham Westley could make changes to his team despite them beating Barnsley 3-2 on Tuesday.

Ricardo Santos is again available, having served his one-match ban, as is fellow defender Jack Baldwin, who had been suspended for the past three matches.

There could also be a first appearance for Martin Samuelsen, who arrived on loan this week from West Ham, but remained on the bench against Barnsley.

Gabriel Zakuani continues to struggle with a hamstring injury, while Kgosi Ntlhe, Joe Gormley and Shaun Brisley remain long-term absentees.
