Mansfield Town vs Southend United - Adi Yussuf pushing for Mansfield start

Mansfield forward Adi Yussuf is pushing for his first league start of the season against Exeter.

Yussuf has started just one game - the Johnstone's Paint Trophy loss at Notts County on September 1 - since joining the club in the summer but he made an immediate impact from the bench on Saturday with a superb goal to put Mansfield back in front during their 3-1 win against Hartlepool.

Stags boss Adam Murray will not be making many changes, though, as he looks for back-to-back home victories for the first time this season.

Defender Mitchell Rose remains on four yellow cards for the season and one more away from an automatic one-match ban.

Exeter could be without Jamie McAllister and Danny Butterfield for the trip to Nottinghamshire.

The pair picked up injuries in the Grecians' 2-1 Devon derby victory at Plymouth on Saturday, Exeter's first win in four league games and first on the road since the end of September.

Christian Ribeiro and captain Matt Oakley, who had not featured for six weeks because of knee surgery, both came on from the bench at Plymouth and are in line to play.

Teenage striker Ollie Watkins made his first Exeter start at the weekend and is set to lead the line with Jamie Reid as manager Paul Tisdale backs his young strike force to deliver again.
