Raith Rovers vs Chesterfield - Raith trio sidelined for St Mirren visit

Raith will be without skipper Jason Thomson (back), defender Craig Barr (groin) and midfielder Lewis Vaughan (knee) when they host St Mirren.

Manager Ray McKinnon is determined his side bounce back from a horrid late nine-minute spell on Saturday against Dumbarton as the Kirkcaldy men had to settle for a 3-3 draw having led 3-0 after 81 minutes.

McKinnon said: "I am not sure what happened as we simply stopped playing and working. We made some dreadful and uncharacteristic mistakes in that closing spell.

"We have to move on quickly from it and this game gives us the chance to do that."

St Mirren, who also suffered a late lapse when Morton equalised in the last minute on Friday, are without captain Jim Goodwin (ankle).

Defender Jason Naismith (knee) and striker Alan Gow (ankle) are also ruled out while defender Keith Watson and forward Jaison McGrath are doubtful.

Manager Ian Murray said: "It was very disappointing to lose a late goal and the result felt more like a defeat. However, there were positives we can take from the game and we will look to build on them at Raith.

"We have to look upon this game as a chance to win and move up in the table."
