Mancini: Inter not favourites

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini does not consider his team to be title favourites, despite going top of the standings following their 4-0 win over Frosinone on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri moved clear of Fiorentina at the Serie A summit after goals from Jonathan Biabiany, Mauro Icardi, Jeison Murillo and Marcelo Brozovic sealed a comfortable win at San Siro.
"Everyone did very well today," Mancini told Mediaset Premium. "Mauro Icardi and Stevan Jovetic haven't played together very often, so they need time to get to know each other better.
"The quality of Jovetic and Adem Ljajic is good for Icardi and will provide him with more service. It'll just take a bit of time. We ran few risks, but in the first half I had hoped to score more and be a bit more relaxed."
Inter now hold a two-point lead over Napoli in second, with Fiorentina now third and Roma fourth after they both recorded draws over the weekend, but Mancini does not consider his team to be favourites for the Scudetto.
"There are three or four teams better equipped than us to win the Scudetto," he insisted. "We are happy to be up there, but there's a long way to go this season. Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina and Juventus are better equipped to win the title."
Next up for Inter is Napoli away at Stadio San Paolo next Monday, with Mancini already talking down the significance of that clash. "I don't think the Napoli game will be a Scudetto crossroads," he concluded.
