Having returned to winning ways in the Premier League, Chelsea will now be focused on getting another positive result against Maccabi Tel Aviv at Sammy Offer Stadium on Tuesday.

The Blues hosted Norwich City at the weekend looking to end a run of three consecutive league defeats, and took a modest step away from their ongoing malaise with a 1-0 win over the Canaries.

Having beaten the Israelis 4-0 when they met at Stamford Bridge in September, Jose Mourinho will be demanding they leave Haifa with all three points.

For Maccabi, the prospect of a win over their Premier League opposition is more hope than expectation, as they have been defeated in all four of their Group G games thus far, and cannot progress to the next round.

Their recent league performances have been good, with back-to-back wins over Maccabi Netanya and Hapoel Haifa in recent weeks, but their Champions League form, with just one goal scored and 11 conceded, speaks for itself.

Chelsea have confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the tie, meaning that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (knee) and striker Radamel Falcao (muscular injury) are the only players from their Champions League squad not to make the journey.

Maccabi boss Slavisa Jokanovic has not announced any new injuries ahead of the tie, meaning that he can field a full-strength team, potentially including former Chelsea centre-back and Israel international Tal Ben Haim.
