Chelsea set to launch £20m bid for Europe’s in-form striker

Chelsea are reportedly ready to launch a £20 million January bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Blues have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season, scoring just 17 in their 13 matches to date, and despite claims he doesn’t deserve to bring anyone in during the window, Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants a forward.

The Portuguese manager’s top target is understood to be Aubameyang, who has netted an incredible 23 times in just 21 fixtures so far this term.

The Gabon international is also preferred because he is eligible to play in the Champions League, however the Londoners are likely to face competition from a host of clubs for the in-demand 26-year-old.
