Mansfield vs Hartlepool - Chris Clements back in contention for Hartlepool clash

Mansfield midfielder Chris Clements returns to contention for the home game against Hartlepool following suspension.

Clements missed the midweek FA Cup replay defeat at Oldham due to a one-game ban and boss Adam Murray must decide whether to recall him to his starting line-up.

Murray, who has no major new injury concerns, made six changes in midweek with fellow midfielders Nathan Thomas, Jack Thomas and Jamie McGuire all hoping to retain their places.

Goalkeeper Brian Jensen is expected to return in place of Scott Shearer while Reggie Lambe and Craig Westcarr are also pushing for recalls.

Defender Michael Duckworth will be monitored for Hartlepool after being stretchered off during last week's win over Leyton Orient.

Duckworth suffered severe cramp and could yet make the squad for the trip to Field Mill.

Pools will definitely be without striker Billy Paynter after he succumbed to an Achilles problem last week and is set to be ruled out until next month.

But Mikael Mandron is likely to step in in Paynter's absence once again after joining on loan from Sunderland and impressing on his first start against the O's.
