Ipswich vs Wolves - Mick McCarthy to assess returning Ipswich internationals before Wolves clash
Posted Sunday, November 22, 2015 by PA
Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy must decide whether to change a winning side for Saturday's home match against former club Wolves.
The Tractor Boys kickstarted their Sky Bet Championship campaign with back-to-back victories before the international break, winning 5-2 at Rotherham in their last outing.
Veteran forward Daryl Murphy helped the Republic of Ireland to secure a place at Euro 2016 after their defeat of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and will be assessed following his return to Suffolk while winger Tommy Oar was away with Australia.
Forward David McGoldrick had been nursing a groin injury, while midfielder Teddy Bishop continues his recovery from hamstring and shin splints problems. Defender Luke Hyam (knee), striker Luke Varney (Achilles) and on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser (knee) remain out.
Wolves will be without a defensive trio for the trip to Portman Road.
Goalkeeper Emi Martinez and defenders Kortney Hause and Ethan Ebanks-Landell will not be involved in the Sky Bet Championship game.
Arsenal loanee Martinez limped out of the 0-0 draw with Burnley last time out with a thigh injury while Hause (hamstring) and Ebanks-Landell (foot) remain sidelined.
Carl Ikeme will replace Martinez in goal after playing twice for Nigeria during the international break.
