Birmingham vs Charlton Athletic - David Cotterill remains sidelined for Birmingham

David Cotterill remains sidelined for Birmingham's clash with Charlton.

The winger suffered a knee injury against Blackburn earlier this month and missed Blues' 5-2 win at Fulham before the international break.

Boss Gary Rowett has a fit squad otherwise with Clayton Donaldson returning after scoring the winner for Jamaica on his full debut against Haiti.

Viv Solomon-Otabor is pushing to start after the winger scored his first professional goal in Birmingham's win at Craven Cottage.

Ricardo Vaz Te could make his Charlton debut after joining the club on a free transfer until the end of the season during the international break.

The former Bolton and West Ham forward is not expected to start due to his lack of match fitness but interim head coach Karel Fraeye thinks the Portuguese will feature at some point.

Scotland Under-21 forward Tony Watt is a major doubt due to injury, while Chris Solly is touch and go as he is still recovering from the knock he picked up against Sheffield Wednesday before the international break.

Another forward, Reza Ghoochannejhad, is available despite a long trip back from the Western Pacific island country of Guam, where he was an unused substitute in Iran's 6-0 World Cup qualifying win in Hagatna in midweek.
