According to reports in Italy, Juventus are planning to send a representative to Everton to discuss the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
In recent weeks, Blues boss Roberto Martinez has slapped a £55 million price tag on the Belgian frontman, possibly as a bid to dissuade potential suitors.
''After today, [he’s worth] £55m!” said Martinez via the Mirror, after Lukaku scored the equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw away at West Ham United at the weekend.
''The real problem is when the chairman or owner of the club says we need to cash in on two or three players. That is not the situation at Everton.”
However, despite Martinez’s bullish approach to the potential exit of the 22-year-old Belgian frontman, Juventus remain keen to recruit the frontman.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to ascertain whether Everton can be tempted to cash in on their forward, and will send a representative to Liverpool in order to speak with the club.
The report also notes that the striker himself is understood to be keen on moving to a big club and trying his hand in the Champions League, and Juventus—despite their troubles this season—would represent such an option.
