ARSENAL have suffered a knockout blow in their pursuit of Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain.
The Gunners have been linked with a money-spinning deal for the Argentine talisman, who Napoli value at £68m.
Higuain, 27, has been in imperious form this term - netting 11 goals in 15 appearances and guiding the club to four straight victories in the Europa League.
His red-hot form has attracted the interest of Arsenal, who were linked with a late deal during the summer transfer window.
However, Higuain's brother and agent Nicolas Higuain has dismissed any possibility of a high-profile swoop.
