Paris Saint-German skipper Thiago Silva says he is 'hopeful' Cristiano Ronaldo could join the club some time in the near future.
The 30-year-old Real Madrid winger has been linked with both Les Parisiens and Manchester United in recent months, despite having another three years on his contract at the Bernabeu.
However, following reports in France of a conversation between PSG boss Blanc and Ronaldo after the Champions League clash between the two sides earlier this month, Silva believes the Portuguese joining in the off-season is a real possibility.
"It is always great to play with big players and Ronaldo is the best player in the world," Silva told French Radio RMC.
"If the club decide to pursue him, the players would be happy, too. He is a great player, someone who would be vital for any team, and especially for PSG who dream of winning the Champions League with great players.
"I don't know what happened between him and Blanc, because the coach did not tell the rest of the squad about their conversation.
"But I am hopeful. I think Ronaldo could join PSG."
