FC United of Manchester vs Chesterfield - Marginson may make changes for cup clash

FC United of Manchester manager Karl Marginson expects to be able to pick from a fully fit squad for his side's FA Cup first round clash with Chesterfield on Monday night.

FC United go into the game on the back of six successive defeats after last Saturday's 3-1 home loss to Telford.

And Marginson may be tempted to ring the changes with Rory Patterson, Rory Fallon and Sam Madeley all pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.

The non-league side will be hoping to add to their recent list of top FA scalps following their famous win at Rochdale in 2010.

Chesterfield will travel with a strong squad, with just long-term absentee Angel Martinez (knee) unavailable.

Spireites boss Dean Saunders may give a couple of his fringe players a run-out against the National League North strugglers. Strikers Mani Dieseruvwe and Byron Harrison will hope goals for the reserve team this week have put them into contention.

Left-back Dan Jones returns to the reckoning after serving a one-match suspension last weekend.

Recent signing Richard Wood could be handed his debut after sitting on the bench during the 1-0 victory at Fleetwood.
