Montpellier 2 - 1 Nantes: Vitorino Hilton leaves it late to earn Montpellier victory

Posted Sunday, November 08, 2015 by PA

Vitorino Hilton's 90th-minute strike earned Montpellier a third straight home victory in Ligue 1 as they beat Nantes 2-1.

After picking up just one point from their first seven fixtures, Montpellier continued their recent resurgence when Hilton stabbed home after a free-kick dropped into his path.

Jerome Roussillon opened the scoring for the hosts, as he did seven days ago at Toulouse, but Yacine Bammou equalised 19 minutes into the second half when he swept in a first-time finish from Jules Iloki's sweep across.

However, Hilton pounced at the death to score his first goal since April and earn Montpellier another home success.
