Dunfermline 0 - 0 Peterhead: Dunfermline denied top spot by Peterhead

Dunfermline missed the chance to go top of Scottish League One after being held to a goalless draw by Peterhead at East End Park.

Leighton Mcintosh, who scored when Peterhead beat Dunfermline 2-1 in August, came close to giving his side an 11th-minute lead but his effort hit a post.

Pars keeper Sean Murdoch then made a fine stop to deny Jordon Brown before Mickael Antoine-Curier wildly lashed an opening high and wide for the home side.

In the closing stages, Peterhead keeper Graeme Smith ensured his side a share of the spoils with an excellent stop from Ryan Wallace's 30-yard free-kick.

A second successive goalless draw leaves the Pars a point behind Ayr while Peterhead are now without an away win in six.
