Raith Rovers 1 - 2 Falkirk: John Baird grabs win as Falkirk win at Raith

Posted Sunday, November 08, 2015 by PA

John Baird's 10th goal of the season earned Falkirk a 2-1 win away to Raith in the Ladbrokes Championship.

A defensive lapse allowed Mark Stewart to put Raith in front, but Falkirk equalised within three minutes through Blair Alston after he was teed up by Bob McHugh.

Mitch Megginson forced a good save from Bairns keeper Danny Rogers, whose efforts were rewarded on the hour when Baird went clear and curled home an excellent fifth goal in three games.

Rogers preserved his side's victory with two good saves from Raith substitute Craig Wighton in the closing stages, the second in particular a superb stop.
