Bottom side Brechin have no fresh injuries as they entertain high-flying Ayr

Brechin City host League One leaders Ayr United on Saturday with no fresh injury concerns for the Glebe Park outfit.

Player/manager Darren Dods lists the same squad that secured a 1-0 win at Forfar last weekend with Dene Shields missing due to a knee injury and Robert Thomson out with a thigh problem.

"We had a game plan at Forfar that saw us hit them on the break and, despite being at home, it is something that we may need to also try against Ayr," Dods said ahead of the clash.

"They attack you with great pace from all areas of the pitch so we will look to contain them and give them something to think about at the other end as well."

Ayr are now undefeated in 11 games but the Honest Men are without Brian Gilmour (hamstring) and Craig Moore (groin) for the trip to bottom side Brechin.

Manager Ian McCall is looking for a 90-minute performance from his side as he explained: "We enjoyed a 3-1 win over a good Stranraer team last Saturday, however our first half display was pretty slack.

"We were much better in the second half when we tightened things up and played as a team. I am delighted that Jordan Preston started scoring again.

"We will need that tight approach for 90 minutes at Brechin as they will be boosted by their win last weekend."
