Dunfermline vs Peterhead - Josh Falkingham boost for Dunfermline ahead of Peterhead clash

Dunfermline midfielder Josh Falkingham has recovered from a back injury and will be included against Peterhead at East End Park if there has been no adverse reaction to playing in a development league game on Thursday.

Manager Allan Johnston is looking for his side to return to top spot in Ladbrokes League One, but he will be without Callum Fordyce and Ryan Williamson, with both players sidelined by a broken leg.

Johnston said: "It is frustrating to be second after drawing at Cowdenbeath but we have to take the opportunities that we create.

"We are not losing many goals, which is a positive, however we have to test the opposition goalkeeper and look to score goals when we have the chance."

Peterhead manager Jim McInally is hoping to add defender Jassem Sukar on loan from Dundee United before kick-off.

However, he will be without the suspended Cammy Kerr and the injured Jamie Stevenson (hamstring) and Ally Gilchrist (knee), while Nicky Riley is a major doubt.

McInally is looking for his side to bounce back from blowing a three-goal lead at Stenhousemuir last weekend, saying: "We lost 4-3 as we failed to contain Jason Scotland for a 20-minute spell in the second half.

"Our confidence has taken a dent and I will make changes to help us try and get a good result at Dunfermline."
