Walsall vs Fleetwood Town - No new worries for Walsall ahead of Fleetwood clash

Posted Friday, November 06, 2015 by PA

Walsall have no fresh injury worries for the FA Cup visit of Fleetwood.

Sam Mantom (ankle) and Isaiah Osbourne (knee) remain sidelined with former Villa midfielder Osbourne yet to make his Saddlers debut.

George Evans has been given permission to play by Manchester City with the on-loan midfielder having scored twice in three games for Walsall.

The Saddlers lead Sky Bet League One and are the highest-ranked team in the competition but they have not reached the third round since 2008.

Fleetwood defender Conor McLaughlin is expected to be fit after being forced off injured in last weekend's home defeat to Chesterfield.

Club captain Nathan Pond could make only his second start of the season after returning from an ankle injury on Saturday and midfielder Jimmy Ryan is available after sitting out a one-game ban.

Danny Andrew remains sidelined due to a groin injury and fellow defender Victor Nirennold, out since early October, is unlikely to feature.

Fleetwood have won only two of their last 12 league games but are chasing back-to-back away victories.
