Grimsby Town vs St Albans City - Andy Monkhouse set to return for Grimsby

Grimsby will be near full-strength for their FA Cup first-round tie with St Albans at Blundell Park.

Winger Andy Monkhouse is set for a return after a shoulder injury, but Craig Disley is suspended after picking up his fifth booking against Cheltenham last week.

Defender Conor Townsend this week extended his loan deal from Hull until January 1.

The Mariners will look to bounce back after a 12-game unbeaten run was ended with a 1-0 defeat at Cheltenham last Friday night.

St Albans will play in the first round for just the second time in 13 seasons.

Joint managers James Gray and Graham Golds welcome back central defender Ben Martin to the squad following a three-match suspension for a red card against Whitehawk last month.

The visitors are otherwise set to have a fully-fit squad to select from.

St Albans are second-from-bottom in the National League South table with two wins from their opening 14 league matches.
