Wealdstone FC vs Colchester United - Godfrey to miss Wealdstone's raid against Colchester
Posted Friday, November 06, 2015 by PA
Wealdstone face Sky Bet League 1 outfit Colchester in the first round of the FA Cup without Elliott Godfrey.
The influential midfielder is banned for three games following his sending off in the 2-1 win over Havant & Waterlooville on October 18.
Wealdstone followed that victory with a 2-1 win over Bognor Regis in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round and a 3-2 defeat against Ebbsfleet to leave them 15th in the National League South.
Boss Gordon Bartlett could turn to the experience of player/coach Scott McGleish, who featured as a late substitute against Ebbsfleet, for the tie with Colchester.
Colchester could play on-loan duo Callum Harriott and Jamie Jones.
However, goalkeeper Jones, signed from Preston in September, is doubtful because of a hamstring injury picked up in the 2-0 defeat at Doncaster, so Elliot Parish is on stand-by.
Midfielder Harriott was cleared for the U's cup ties when he joined from Charlton at the end of August.
Full-back Richard Brindley (knee) is still sidelined, along with strikers Chris Porter (knee) and Gavin Massey (calf).
