Liverpool v Crystal Palace

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will be targeting more of the same when the welcome an out-of-sorts Crystal Palace to Anfield on Sunday evening.

The Reds are riding a wave of optimism following the appointment of the hugely popular German boss, with the Merseysiders yet to taste defeat under their newly-appointed manager.

In fact, they are on a 12-match unbeaten run in all competitions, a sequence of results that stretches back to when former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers' was still at the Anfield helm.

Palace, meanwhile, have suffered a dip in form in recent times, following a flying start to the new campaign under Alan Pardew. The Eagles have collected just one from their last three league fixtures, although that solitary point came in an encouraging goalless draw with Manchester United last time out.

As such, Pardew's men trail the Reds by one point and two places in the league standings, and a win for either side could potentially see them rise as high as seventh place, depending on results elsewhere.

On the team news front, Liverpool are set to welcome back playmaker Philippe Coutinho into the starting line-up after he missed the midweek victory over Rubin Kazan in the Europa League with a minor hamstring problem.

Adam Lallana, Martin Skrtel and Lucas Leiva were also rested for midweek fixture and will all be pushing for a first-team recall.

Daniel Sturridge, Kolo Toure, Jordan Henderson and Danny Ings remain on the treatment table.

For Palace, Pape Souare and Connor Wickham face late fitness tests, while Kwesi Appiah (knee) and Marouane Chamakh (hamstring) miss out again.

Lee Chung-Yong is nursing a knock but could still feature against the Merseyside outfit.
