Cech confident of Euro progression

Following their disappointing 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich, Petr Cech claims Arsenal can still qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Having lost their opening two fixtures of the group phase against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos respectively, the Gunners must now win both their remaining two fixtures against those sides and hope Bayern beat the Greek champions in order to progress to the last 16.

"We can still qualify. You win two games and we need to make sure the head to head against Olympiakos is in our favour and then we can go through," Cech said.

"Everything is possible and we have two games to play. We have to regroup and continue fighting until the last minute."

Cech admits the manner in which Arsene Wenger's side were defeated will demoralize some of the squad members, but they need to bounce back as they face their London rivals Tottenham this weekend.

"Every game comes thick and fast and you have to make sure you recover and move onto the next one," the Czech Republic international said.

"Obviously this was not a day we wanted but in a way the situation in our group thanks to the result in Greece, hasn't changed much.

"We are still in the position where we need to win our last two games and make sure we have a better head to head against Olympiakos."
