Internazionale president Erick Thohir is hoping Roberto Mancini will manage the club for many years to come amid talk of Jose Mourinho returning to the helm.
Mourinho etched his name into Nerazzurri folklore after he led them to the treble in 2010 with the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles.
The Portuguese coach is under immense pressure at Chelsea after a poor start to the season, where they have lost six of their opening 11 games in the Premier League as defending champions.
Inter are currently tied with Fiorentina at the top of the league table on 24 points as Mancini looks to bring the Scudetto back to the San Siro for the first time since Mourinho won it five years ago.
And Thohir has the utmost faith in the Italian to restore the Milan giants to their former glory, although he refused to rule out Mourinho coming back one day.
He told Tuttosport: "He's a great coach, but we've never spoken about it. Of course he would be a good coach for Inter, but I don't think it's right to compare the two.
"We have complete faith in Roberto Mancini. We just need to wait for the results, and we want him to be part of Inter's history for many years to come.
"If you ask me, he's going to stay at Inter for the next 10 to 15 years. At the moment, we have an agreement for the next two to three years, and I don't think he's the kind of person to leave a project halfway through.
"It wasn't easy for him to start with because we were in a period of transition, but now we're very happy with the results, with how he is leading the side and how he is managing them - it's not easy when a lot of new players come in.
"We always believed in his work and in his personality. We're happy, and I think he is too. We share the same vision."
