Nice 1 - 2 Nantes: Kolbeinn Sigthorsson secures late win for Nantes

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson's late strike helped Nantes get back to winning ways on Wednesday night with a 2-1 win at Nice.

The visitors had started well as they looked to bounce back from Sunday's home loss to Marseille, with Alexis Alegue firing them into an 11th minute lead.

But Romain Genevois grabbed an equaliser three minutes before the break for Nice, who had been held to a goalless draw by Lille at the weekend.

Alexandre Mendy had an effort ruled out for the home side as they looked to push on from Genevois' effort, before Sigborsson caught them on the break to lift Nantes to seventh in the table.
