Mourinho wants to see out Chelsea contract

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is adamant that he wants to remain with the club until the end of his contract, amidst ongoing speculation regarding his future with the Blues.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Wednesday night, the under-pressure boss reiterated that he still has just under four years left on a deal that he only signed in August.
The intense scrutiny over Mourinho’s position in recent weeks has arisen following an incredibly poor start to the season, which has seen Chelsea win just four of their 15 matches this season in all competitions.
Pressure on Mourinho reached a fever pitch following their latest abject display – a 3-1 defeat against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday – with reports emerging of an unnamed Chelsea player allegedly saying that they would "rather lose than win for Jose Mourinho", per the Daily Mail.
However, both Mourinho and his captain, John Terry, rejected reports suggesting there is any internal unrest at the Premier League champions.
Nevertheless, the current situation is an intriguing one and it will be interesting to see how long Chelsea’s notoriously trigger-happy owner, Roman Abramovich, is prepared to give Mourinho to turn results around.
In both of his spells as Chelsea manager, between 2004-07 and from 2013-present, Mourinho has lasted longer than any other manager in the Abramovich era.
The four-year deal handed to Mourinho in the summer was a show of faith from the Chelsea board that he would be manager for the long-term, however, nobody at the club could have expected the start of the season to be so poor. The champions have conceded an average of two goals per game, whilst displaying a feeble shot accuracy of 43% – the division’s fourth-worst ratio.
Chelsea have created 118 chances in the Premier League this season.
