Lippi: I wouldn’t be ready for Chelsea appointment

Former Italy manager Marcello Lippi has admitted that if Chelsea were to approach him about a short-term stint at Stamford Bridge, he wouldn't not be prepared to take the job, as per talkSPORT.
Jose Mourinho's job is well and truly on the line at Stamford Bridge. Losses to Stoke in the Capital One Cup and Liverpool in the Premier League have piled on more misery onto an already disastrous Chelsea season.
Speculation has been rife as to who would replace the Portuguese if he was to be dismissed and World Cup winning coach Lippi has been linked as a short-term solution.
"I don't think they'll sack Mourinho, if they were to get rid of him they would also have to give him €25million [£18m] as severance pay," Lippi said.
"For now Chelsea can't recover in the Premier League, I think that the Blues are aiming to get to the end of the season and then draw conclusions.
"But it could be different if things start to go badly in the Champions League.
"I don't know if I'd be ready for a potential call from Chelsea, usually when a club has three or four names in mind these always come out but none of these in the end are ever really signed up.
"For now, my name hasn't been circulated yet."
The 67-year-old won the 2006 World Cup with Italy but seems to have ruled himself out of a potential stint at Stamford Bridge.
Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a return to club as well as the likes of Pep Guardiola, Diego Simeone and Guus Hiddink, but for the time being Mourinho is still the helmsman at Chelsea despite terrible results.
