Derby County vs Queens Park Rangers - George Thorne misses Derby's clash with QPR through suspension
Posted Monday, November 02, 2015 by PA
Derby will be without the suspended George Thorne when QPR visit the iPro Stadium.
Thorne received his fifth yellow card of the season during the 3-0 win against Rotherham and he must serve a one-match ban.
Rams head coach Paul Clement has plenty of options to replace Thorne in the holding midfield role. Bradley Johnson filled in for half an hour on Saturday after Thorne was substituted while Chris Baird, Jamie Hanson and fit-again duo Jeff Hendrick and Craig Bryson could play the position.
The ankle injury which ruled Tom Ince out against Rotherham will keep him on the sidelines on Tuesday night, although it is hoped the winger will be available again for the trip to the City Ground to face east midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Friday night.
QPR will be without Clint Hill and Sandro through injury.
Veteran defender Hill faces up to a month on the sidelines after damaging knee cartilage during Friday night's 1-0 derby defeat at Brentford.
Midfielder Sandro sustained an ankle injury in training and will also miss the trip, although he should be fit by the weekend.
Striker Charlie Austin should be involved again after making his comeback from a hamstring injury as a sub at Griffin Park, but winger Jamie Mackie's hamstring problem keeps him out.
