Bologna 3 - 0 Atalanta: Bologna start Roberto Donadoni's reign with victory

Bologna struck three times in the second half to beat Atalanta 3-0 and give new coach Roberto Donadoni a winning start to his tenure on Sunday.

Donadoni this week replaced Delio Rossi, with Bologna having lost eight of their first 10 Serie A games.

Emanuele Giaccherini's 15-yard strike put Bologna ahead in the 52nd minute before Mattia Destro doubled the hosts' lead six minutes later with a right-footed shot from the heart of the area.

Substitute Franco Brienza made it 3-0 five minutes from time with a 25-yard effort as Bologna won their third game of the campaign to climb to 18th place.

Atalanta lost for the fourth time to drop to seventh in the standings.
