Airdrie United 1 - 1 Albion Rovers FC: Albion pick up point at Airdrie thanks to Alistair Love strike

Posted Sunday, November 01, 2015 by PA

Alistair Love earned Albion a point in a 1-1 draw at Airdrie.

Ross Davidson was not too far away for the visitors early on but it was Airdrie who took the lead in the 23rd minute when Bryan Prunty headed home.

Rovers were awarded a penalty before the break, and although Paul Willis saw his effort saved by Neil Parry, Love was on hand to fire home the rebound.

Albion were denied a second goal for a push on goalkeeper Parry and they were reduced to 10 men with seconds remaining when John Gemmell was sent off for what looked to be an elbow on Marc Fitzpatrick.
