Cowdenbeath 0 - 0 Dunfermline: Dunfermline held to goalless draw by Cowdenbeath

The league's runaway top scorers Dunfermline were subdued by Cowdenbeath in a 0-0 draw at Central Park.

Colin Nish's hosts reacted to the effort as if it were a victory, as the strugglers superbly shut out the side scoring at a rate of more than three a game this season.

David Hopkirk missed two early chances to set the tone for a disappointing day for the Pars.

Marc McAusland's header was cleared off the line, as the East End Park side dominated.

After riding the first half storm, Cowdenbeath were more comfortable in the second. Joe Cardle was a constant threat for Dunfermline, but they could not break through - and lost top spot to Ayr.
