Excitement has been building all week as Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp face off on the touchline in one of the division’s fiercest rivalries, set for 12:45pm on Saturday.

Pressure continues to intensify on Mourinho’s position, after a poor start to the campaign, while Klopp is still looking for his first Premier League win as Liverpool boss.

But while Wenger admits the match certainly whets the appetite beforehand, he’ll miss the second half at Stamford Bridge as he’ll be busy preparing his team for their game against Swansea City at 3pm.

“I don’t think I can watch the game, maybe 45 minutes – the first half,” Wenger said.

“Of course I watch a big game when I can, and Chelsea v Liverpool is an interesting one because they are two strong sides who play against each other.”

The Gunners are looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup in midweek, putting an end to a four-game winning streak.

Arsenal – the division’s best creators, with 157 chances in 10 games – currently sit second in the Premier League behind Manchester City (on goal difference), and face a Swansea side who haven’t won any of their last three matches at the Liberty Stadium, drawing two and losing one.

Garry Monk’s men were victorious against Aston Villa in their last match which is their only win from their last seven matches in all competitions.
