The Chelsea boss claims too many people are getting far too excited about the prospect of him getting the axe.

Mourinho faces a potentially make or break clash with Liverpool today, but says he doesn't waste a second of his day worrying about his future.

The champions have suffered a dreadful start to the season and find themselves down in 15th, a massive 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.

But the Special One says he doesn't understand anyone who is eager to see him lose his job.

Mourinho, who will give a late fitness test to Diego Costa, has seen the odds on him being axed tumble.

UNDER PRESSURE: Jose Mourinho

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho: I'm only worried about getting results"Don't speak to me about bets and odds," he said. "It belongs to your culture, not mine. It's all Greek to me.

"What I'd like to understand is why some people can be so excited and happy with the perspective of somebody losing his job.

"If you ask me, anyone in the world, in any area... If you tell me your newspaper is going to sack 20 people, first of all I will be worried for you - I promise you.

"And, secondly, I would be very disappointed even if I don't know the other 20 guys who are going to be sacked.

"But this is the only job where people get excited at that. It's sad.

"I hate people losing jobs. Not in football, but in everything.

"But I'm not worried about that at all. I don't spend one second of my day thinking about it."

INJURY CONCERN: Diego Costa

Mourinho has been hit with multiple FA charges this season and was sent off at West Ham last weekend after clashing with referee Jon Moss at half-time.

He has also already received a public vote of confidence from Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

"I'm worried about the results," he said. "I'm worried about winning, about qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.

"I am worried about recovering positions in the table, and to go back to where Chelsea normally has to be.

"I'm not worried about my job, my future, about anything other than that. I'm not worried. I'm not worried."

Mourinho hopes Costa will recover enough from a rib injury to start, and could also have Pedro back in contention.

He said: "We are going to wait. It's more about the confidence, not desire, because that's there."
