Title-chasing Ayr will be missing both Brian Gilmour and Craig Moore when they host Stranraer.
Gilmour is absent due to a hamstring injury while Motherwell loanee Moore is sidelined with a groin complaint.
There is some good news for the Honest Men with Peter Murphy and Jamie Adams both passed fit enough to start, with manager Ian McCall predicting a tough afternoon.
"Stranraer are one of the best teams we have played this season and I reckon that they are in a false position in the table," he said.
"They lost 3-0 to Cowdenbeath last weekend but they are a much better side than that. This will be a very tough 90 minutes if our standards slip."
The visitors will be missing David Barron (hamstring), Steven Bell (foot) and Craig Malcolm (knee) as manager Brian Reid returns to Somerset Park for the first time since leading Ayr to two promotions and a League Cup semi-final.
He said: "Those are nice memories however it is all about winning the points for Stranraer now. We had two good away wins at Forfar and Airdrie in our last two away games and winning at Ayr would make a terrific hat-trick.
"However we need to be much better in front of goal than we were in our last two home matches where we have lost."
