Stevenage Borough vs Oxford United - Brett Williams suspended for Stevenage

Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA

Forward Brett Williams serves a one-match suspension when Stevenage host Oxford in League Two on Saturday.

Boro boss Teddy Sheringham is expected to hand Michael Tonge a home debut but has a number of fitness doubts.

Chris Whelpdale (groin) was substituted during the loss at Northampton and is a doubt, while Ronnie Henry (back), Connor Ogilvie (hamstring) and Charlie Lee (knee) are doubtful.

Adam Marriott, Dave McAllister (both knee) and Rohdell Gordon (hamstring) are out.

Oxford manager Michael Appleton has been dealt a double blow ahead of his side's trip to Broadhall Way.

Skipper Jake Wright is likely to be missing after a back spasm forced him off during the second half of the 3-2 defeat against Barnet last time out.

And winger Jordan Graham has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Wolves due to an injury crisis at Molineux.

Chey Dunkley, who replaced Wright from the bench on Saturday, is likely to keep his place at the heart of the Oxford defence.
