Walsall vs Gillingham - Henry ready to make Walsall comeback

Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA

Rico Henry is set to return for Walsall's top-of-the-table clash with Sky Bet League One leaders Gillingham.

The left-back missed Saturday's 4-4 draw at Colchester but has returned to training following an ankle injury.

Sam Mantom remains sidelined with a knee issue and is not expected back for at least another three weeks.

Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has had stitches removed from his own knee problem on Thursday and will be assessed but Craig MacGillvray stands by to deputise again. The Saddlers are second in the table, two points behind the Gills.

Gillingham midfielder Josh Wright will serve the second game of his three-match suspension following an unsuccessful appeal.

The Gills had their appeal upheld after Wright was given a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Scunthorpe striker Paddy Madden.

Boss Justin Edinburgh could hand starting places to Doug Loft and Cody McDonald after both made a significant impact in the 1-1 draw against Southend.

Forward Luke Norris is still out as he recovers from an ankle injury.
