Burnley vs Huddersfield Town - Burnley boss Sean Dyche has plenty of options

Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA

Sean Dyche will choose from the same pool of players when Burnley entertain Huddersfield at Turf Moor.

Midfielder Dean Marney's return is edging ever closer but he only played 90 minutes on Wednesday for the club's development squad, the first time he has completed a game since February.

Marney suffered a setback with a slight thigh problem but, like fellow long-term knee-injury victim Kevin Long, the duo are now on the verge of coming back into the squad.

However, Ashley Barnes, Lukas Jutkiewicz (both knee) and Jason Gilchrist (ankle) are further away.

Huddersfield winger Sean Scannell faces a late fitness test after being forced out of last week's home defeat to Derby due to a hamstring injury.

Mustapha Carayol replaced Scannell on Saturday and could be recalled to the starting line-up.

Striker James Vaughan will serve the last game of his three-match ban following his recent red card at Ipswich and midfielder Jonathan Hogg (thigh) remains doubtful after missing the last three matches.

Midfielder Kyle Dempsey has been sidelined for two games through illness, while teenage forward Flo Bojaj is hoping to feature again after stepping off the bench for the second time last week.
