Crawley Town vs York City - Joe McNerney among Crawley absentees

Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA

Crawley will be without Joe McNerney, Lanre Oyebanjo and Gavin Tomlin when they host York.

McNerney and Oyebanjo are still carrying knee injuries and Tomlin has a groin problem.

Boss Mark Yates has also lost Liam Donnelly, who has been recalled by parent club Fulham, but fellow defender Josh Yorwerth has extended his loan spell from Ipswich.

Mitch Hancox's loan stint ends after the match but Yates is in talks with Birmingham over an extension.

York start life without Russ Wilcox on the road.

Richard Cresswell is the Minstermen's caretaker manager and will take charge for the first time after Wilcox was axed on Monday morning.

He signed Middlesbrough midfielder Bryn Morris to a loan deal this week and he will be expected to come straight into the starting XI.

Cresswell admitted he will have to monitor midfielder Russ Penn (hamstring) in the build up, while both Jake Hyde (hernia) and Luke Summerfield (concussion) are long-term absentees.
