Sheffield Wed. vs Nottingham Forest - Gary Hooper in line for Sheffield Wednesday bow
Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA
Sheffield Wednesday's new loan signing Gary Hooper is in contention for his debut after joining on loan from Norwich this week.
Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is expected to return in place of Joe Wildsmith after missing the midweek Capital One Cup win against Arsenal due to an ankle injury and striker Fernando Forestieri will return to contention after he was ineligible on Tuesday night.
Head coach Carlos Carvalhal will assess midfield pair Sam Hutchinson and Barry Bannan after both were substituted in midweek.
Midfielder Alex Lopex returned to training this week following injury and could be in contention but defender Michael Turner (knee), winger Modou Sougou (shoulder) and Marco Matias remain sidelined.
Ben Osborn could be back in the Forest squad. The young midfielder has been restricted to just four appearances this season due to injuries and a bout of food poisoning, with the last of those coming on September 19.
The 21-year-old resumed training this week and he is close to being available again for a Reds side looking to halt a six-game winless run in the Championship.
Jonny Williams will be checked over after he was forced off against Ipswich last weekend following a blow to the head.
Defender Matt Mills comes back into the reckoning after serving a three-match suspension but midfielder Henri Lansbury is still banned.
