Port Vale vs Shrewsbury Town - Port Vale's problems persist in attack
Posted Friday, October 30, 2015 by PA
Port Vale have problems in attack for their Sky Bet League One home game with Shrewsbury.
Top scorer Uche Ikpeazu is suspended after his red card in the 2-0 defeat at Burton last weekend and Enoch Andoh is set to miss out for a second successive game with a knee injury.
But the Valiants hope midfielders Byron Moore and Chris Birchall could be available after respective groin and thigh problems.
There was also good news for Vale this week as goalkeeper Chris Neal played for the reserves, his first appearance since damaging an ankle during a pre-season friendly in July.
On-loan Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai is out for Shrewsbury.
The attacker, who has scored four goals in his last four games, suffered a knee injury in the 2-0 win over Bury last Saturday but is expected to return to training next week.
Ian Black is still struggling with a hamstring injury, but new signings Anthony Gerrard and Zak Whitbread are available.
Defender Mark Ellis has also been allowed to join Carlisle on loan for a month.
