Brentford vs Queens Park Rangers - Same again for Bees

Posted Thursday, October 29, 2015 by PA

Brentford are likely to be unchanged for the west London derby against QPR at Griffin Park.

The Bees have no new injury worries following the 3-0 win at Charlton last week, although Josh McEachran (foot), Jota (ankle) and Andreas Bjelland (knee) remain long-term absentees.

Sam Saunders and Lewis Macleod played for the reserves in midweek to build up their fitness following injury lay-offs, with the latter still to make his debut following his January switch from Scottish side Rangers due to hamstring trouble.

Midfielder John Swift will be involved again after extending his loan spell from Chelsea until January.

QPR hope to welcome back Charlie Austin after a month out with a hamstring injury.

The seven-goal striker will be named on the bench if he is passed fit, with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas set to keep his place in attack.

Winger Jamie Mackie is still absent with his hamstring problem but manager Chris Ramsey has an otherwise fully-fit squad.

Ramsey is unlikely to tinker too much with the side which beat MK Dons 3-0 last week, although Leroy Fer is pushing to start having come off the bench after an hour with the score goalless.
